VII. INTERNATIONAL TURKISH FOLKLORE CONGRESS
26 – 30 June 2006, GAZİANTEP
The International Turkish Folklore Congress was started in 1975 and has been
held every five years since 1981. It is organized by Directorate General of
Research and Training of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism . The VII. Congress
will take place in Gaziantep between 26-30 June 2006.

III. MUSIC, DANCE and ENTERTAINMENT in TURKISH FOLK CULTURE
IV. TRADITIONS, CUSTOMS and BELIEFS in TURKISH FOLK CULTURE
V. TANGIBLE CULTURAL ASSETS in TURKISH FOLK CULTURE
VI. SPECIAL SESSION
Folk Culture studies of the city of Gaziantep.
The academics and experts wishing to participate in the Congress are required
to fill in the form and send it to the contact adress of The Ministry of Culture
and Tourism together with their paper summaries and titles by 28 October 2005.
Papers submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.
The summary of the paper shall not be more than 200 words.
Commissions, established for each session, will assess the paper summaries
and notify the authors of their decisions.
Participation fee for the Congress is 50 YTL (Turkısh Liras).
Travel expenses must be covered by the participants, but accommodation and
some other services will be provided for participants by the Ministry of Culture
and Tourism.
Languages of the Congress; Turkish and English languages shall be used in the
Congress.
